Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Medical Quality Assurance Specialist to join a client's team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This full-time, onsite role requires a passionate professional to ensure the highest standards of clinical quality improvement (QI) and patient care. Responsibilities
- Participate in strategic and operational planning to ensure quality care.
- Coordinate the principles and values of continuous quality improvement (CQI) throughout the medical practice.
- Ensure that CQI efforts comply with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with IT and Practice Administrator to ensure data systems support CQI activities, including maintaining QI tracking systems and database.
- Consult with clinicians, administrator, and QI teams on CQI activities such as chart reviews and accurate documentation and coding, providing technical support and staff education as necessary.
- Ensure the gathering and analysis of QI data from every clinical department, converting data into statistics for analysis.
- Provide feedback in person and via reports to departments on trends and needed corrective actions.
- Lead QI committee, regularly reviewing QI data and preparing annual QI report.
- Resolve any patient complaints related to quality of care.
- Identify QI opportunities, recognize QI achievements, and recommend QI plan for the next year.
- May help select, train, monitor, and evaluate department staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in health administration, science, or nursing. Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred for supervisory roles.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, including 1 year of management/QI experience.
- Other Requirements: Current CMA, RMA, LPN, RN, or other clinical license recommended.
- Knowledge of PCMH, QI philosophy, models, processes, and tools in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with QA and regulatory trends, and NCQA structure and standards, HEDIS requirements, and any accreditation standards.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts.
